I recently wrote about a new Priority Pass restaurant option at Baltimore-Washington International airport that seemed like great news for Southwest travelers. Over the last several years, Priority Pass has continued expanding access to restaurants where you can get $28 in credit per person per visit (guest access varies by the card from which you get your Priority pass). That’s a big disappointment as Capital One joins Amex in excluding restaurant access and the way the announcement is worded makes me at least slightly nervous about whether we’ll see a similar move from Chase.Ĭapital One Venture X Priority Pass no longer has access to Priority Pass restaurants and other non-lounge experiences as of 1/1/23 This week we learned that the Capital One Venture X Credit card’s Priority Pass would no longer allow Priority Pass restaurant access beginning on January 1, 2023. We have no idea whether or not it’s intended to remain a benefit of the card, but in the short-term it does provide a leg-up on the benefits of the personal card. We reached out to the Capital One and verified that this is intentional. That said, we recently started to hear reports from successful applicants that they were still able to enter “non-lounge experiences,” ie restaurants, using the Priority Pass that came with the card.
The Business Venture X has been haphazardly released over the last year, it has already been re-branded, but it’s still only available by applying through a C1 relationship manager.

Update 3/27/23: Capital One has just confirmed that cardholders of the Business Venture X have access to restaurants within the Priority Pass network, unlike the consumer Venture X.
